What is Surf Neutral?

A platform that connects surfboard shapers, brands and surfers, built around a digital passport for every board.

Surf Neutral connects the people who make surfboards with the people who ride them. Shapers and brands show their boards and their story. Surfers find boards, shapers and other surfers, keep their own quiver, and can rent a board before they buy.

Every board gets a passport

Each board on Surf Neutral has its own page and a unique QR code. Shapers can glass the QR code into the board. Anyone who scans it sees who shaped the board, which brand it is, who owns it now and where it has been. When a board changes hands, the history moves with it.

• Surfers: browse boards and shapers, keep your quiver, accept boards transferred to you, rent boards, chat with shapers. See For surfers.

Who is behind it

Surf Neutral was started by Lesley Zonnekein and Klaas Neirinck. The idea came from a year in Jeffreys Bay, where it took months to find the local shapers. Surf Neutral makes those shapers, and their boards, easy to find.
