Why does Surf Neutral ask for my location?
Location is used for boards, shapers and transfers on the map. How to turn it on.
Surf Neutral uses your device location when you:
- set where you shape (shapers), so surfers can find you;
- add a board, so the board shows on the map;
- transfer a board, so its history shows where it has been;
- update a board's location, for example when it moves from the factory to a shop.
To protect your privacy, boards show in an area on the map, not at an exact address.
Turn location on
- iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. Turn it on, and allow it for your browser (for example Safari Websites). Apple help.
- Android: swipe down from the top of the screen and turn on Location. Google help.
- Computer: when the browser asks whether Surf Neutral may use your location, choose Allow.
