Damage, dings and insurance

Ding prices set by the host, and what to do if a board gets damaged.

Ding prices

Hosts set ding prices: the repair price for common damage, such as a pressure ding, a broken fin box or a snapped board. Hosts change them under Rental listings > Rental settings.

Surfers agree to the host's ding prices when they reserve. Press the host ding prices next to the Reserve button to see them first.

If the board gets damaged

Tell the host straight away and take photos. Settle the repair with the host using the agreed ding prices.

Insurance

Surf Neutral doesn't offer rental insurance. Hosts are responsible for insuring their own boards (see our Terms and Conditions). Ask the host what is covered before you rent.
