This double ender rounded pintail is an all-around good time.
It’s wider outline and parallel rails lend make this a trim machine.
Don’t forget to run up to the nose every once in a while.
This board was one of the best opportunities and most nerve-wracking boards of my very short shaping experience so far. All because it is for a very amazing friend, Tara Craven.
I’d met Tara through the maze of Instagram accounts when she’d been running an organic surf wax company, Madre Wax (@modre.surf). I’d run into Tara surfing down at Doheny then you know it you’re buds
Two weeks ago Tara’s awesome husband hit me up about making her a one-of-a-kind pintail for her birthday. Ryan wanted to make her a board that she’d never forget and would never be like anyone else’s out in the line-up.
Once the board was shaped and glassed Ryan came over with their two young boys and they went to the deck with paint pens in hand and made their mom a special board full of absolute love.
It is an absolute gift to these people friends and have them in my life. Always laughing and always full of love.
Thank you Craven family and God for this blessing.
