Let's dive into the world of Zag Surfboards! It all started because Gary needed boards that could keep up with his ever-changing weight. So, what does he do? Teaches himself how to shape those babies. No boring boards in his collection – Gary's all about splashing them with color. Each board is like a fingerprint, totally one-of-a-kind and ready to tackle any surf condition, all thanks to Gary Ahern's skilled hands.

Now, when it comes to the 4th paraplegic board in Gary's lineup on Surf Neutral, it's a whole new ballgame. These boards aren't cookie-cutter; they're as unique as the surfers riding them. And you know what? Gary loves it. He's not just building those boards; he's making friends with every single owner. It's a real-deal community, and each board is a high-five to the spirit of surfing.
Gary is proudly Australian and started shaping in 2013, driven by a desire to fulfil his board needs. His shaping inspiration came from Matt Kazuma Kinoshita. With close to 100 boards shaped, he favours PU materials for his board builds; Gary's unique, 100% hand-shaped style is complemented by owning the glassing process. Gaz adds a personal touch with Surf Neutral's QR code feature, providing a digital signature and proof of ownership. A warm welcome to the Surf Neutral Fam, Chris—may you have endless fun on this unique board!
